The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky is a book about wanting more than you can have. This happens when Charlie wants Sam but Sam starts going out with someone else. This also happens when Patrick and Bob hook up. Charlie really wants Sam to go out with him and he has a dream about her but so far she doesn't feel the same way. When Charlie sees Patrick and Bob hook up they tell Charlie not to tell anybody because they don't want anybody to know that they are gay for one another.
Charlie is jealous of Sam's boyfriend because he wants to be Sam's boyfriend. He wants to be with her a lot. He had a dream about him being naked with Sam. He told her that he had that dream about her and she just laughed, If I were him I wouldn't have done that because that just isn't something you tell a person. You don't go to a person and tell them that you were dreaming that you were having sex with them. That is just to inappropriate to say to a person. This can relate to life because sometimes you don't always have everything that want.
Patrick and Bob don't want anybody to know that they are gay for each other. When Patrick walks in on them in the bedroom they look surprised because Bob is a star quarterback for their schools' team and Patrick isn't really popular. This is a really weird relationship because its like the most popular kid dating the kid that nobody talks to. This relates to life because somethings in life you expect somebody to do something but then they go and do the exact opposite.
